Keypad Control
Before You Begin
Before starting the motor :
Ensure the motor is commissioned.
Ensure it is safe for the motor to rotate.
Verify that motor rotation will not damage any connected equipment.
Note
The motor may start immediately once a run command is applied.
Step 1 - Enable Keypad Control
Navigate to P-12.0.
Set P-12.0 =
PAd-1 (One motor direction Operation).
PAd-2 (Forward and Reverse direction).
Note
This configures the drive to receive both the run command and speed reference from the keypad.
Step 2 - Select the Start Method
Navigate to P-12.4.
Select the required start method.

Step 3 - Start and Stop the Motor
Start the Motor
Press the Run button on the keypad.
Verify the motor starts and rotates in the expected direction.
Stop the Motor
Press the Stop button on the keypad.
Verify the motor comes to a controlled stop.
Step 4 - Adjust the Speed Reference
Use the Up and Down arrow keys to adjust the required speed.
Observe the displayed speed reference value.
Verify the motor responds to the speed change
Stop the Motor
Press the Stop button on the keypad.
Verify the motor comes to a controlled stop.
Step 5 - Change the Motor Direction (Optional)
Press the Direction key on the keypad.
Verify the drive indication changes.
Confirm the motor rotates in the required direction.
Caution
Ensure it is safe to reverse the motor before changing direction.
