Motor Contactor Control Setup Wiring

Normally the motor contactor is connected to Relay 1 on the drive. By default Relay 1 is set to control the motor contactor.

When connecting your motor contactor to the drive ensure you are using the correct terminals.

Relay 1 supports both an Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) configuration.

The ratings for Relay 1 are listed below:

Motor Contactor Control Setup Parameters

For the drive to control the motor contactor it must be correctly connected to the drive, details of the connections can be found in the TopicMotor Contactor Control Setup Wiring.

Once the motor contactor is connected the drive must be correctly parameterised.

Motor Contactor Control Function Parameters

Normally the motor contactor is connected to Relay 1 as the Relay can provide 250VAC/30Vdc to drive the motor contactor. Though the 3 other Digital Outputs may be used.

Motor Contactor Control Delay Time Parameters

When a run command is given to the drive the first step before running is for the motor contactors to close. This time can be adjusted in Parameter P3-01 to give sufficent time for the motor contactors to fully close.
