Travel Profile - Geared Induction Motor Open Loop

Below is the default travel profile for an Geared Induction Motor Operating in Open Loop (no encoder feedback) with two speeds used.

The motor contactor can be closed with different commands and under different conditions depending on the settings of the drive.

The table below gives an overview of what settings can control when the motor contactor closes.

P1-02 Setting

1 & 2

  • Safety Chain Closed - P0-03 = 1

  • Direction Digital Input Closed - P0-01 = 10000 or 01000

  • Speed Digital Input Closed - A Speed Digital Input must be closed

  • Speed Reference must be > 0.

The Safe Torque Off must be closed before the direction Digital Input is closed otherwise the drive will not run and will either show the trip code Odr-Er or just sit on stop.

3 - 8 & 10 & 12

  • Safety Chain Closed - P0-03 = 1

  • Direction Input Closed - P0-01 = 10000 or 01000

  • Speed Reference must be > 0

9 & 11

  • Direction Digital Input Closed - P0-01 = 10000 or 01000

The Motor Contactor can be closed with the Direction Digital Input while the Safety Chain is open unlike the previous Macros.
